Corner Marshals are one of the most critical volunteer spots in the race! They assist racers to stay on course, help control traffic for safety and provide information to spectators about the race!

We need volunteers everyday!

Social Media High Priority

Do you love to tweet and post on various social media sites? We would love to have you make "live" posts updating race progress. You may ride in one of the official cars posting "live" racing! Or work at the finish line doing Facebook live as athletes cross the line!

Athlete Escort Medium Priority

As a volunteer you will work with the USADA (US Anti-Doping Assoc.). You will meet a pre-determined athlete near the finish line and escort them to the testing area. This is a brief orientation by USADA prior to beginning. This is a great chance to meet athletes one on one.

Wheel Truck High Priority

You must be 19 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Wheel Trucks carry spare wheels/tires for the Elite Men 1, 2 race and the amateur races. The wheel truck is part of the race caravan (you follow the racers). It's a great chance to be on the road with the race.

Trucks are preferred but can by a large SUV style vehicles

Location

Thurs Apr 4 - Start at Walker Park and follow the race through Winslow, Devil's Den and back into Fayetteville.
Fri Apr 5 - Start at Walmart on MLK in Fayetteville and follow the race through Cane Hill, down past Cedarville and back to Fayetteville on Hwy 71.
Sat Apr 6 - Amateur Racing in the Hogeye area

Sag / Follow Vehicle High Priority

You must be 19 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

A Sag is the last car that follows the race. They will assist in picking up any athlete who has dropped out of the race. We prefer to have a vehicle that can sear 4 - 6 and needs a bike rack (we may be able to provide if needed). The sag also informs volunteers and law enforcement that the race has officially passed.

Please note the time indicated is the time period at the Natural Dam Feedzone, you will need to ADD DRIVING TIME to get there.

Location

Near Natural Dam on Hwy 59S. About 50 miles from Fayetteville. You will receive exact directions after signing up and may be able to carpool with other volunteers.

This position must be approved. You will hold athletes bikes steady at the start line of the Pro Time Trial, as well as the Amateur Time Trial. Requires strong arms/hands.

We need people willing to help early to set up the race course - put up barricades, build out starting/finish lines, setting up tents, etc... We have 2 races on Saturday in different locations!

Details

While this might not be the most glamorous job it is critical that we get all the equipment (finish lines, barricades, etc) broken down and moved to the next race location as quickly as possible.
11 am - 1 pm will be breaking down the Amateur Races in south Fayetteville and moving supplies to downtown Fayetteville
3 - 6 pm will be breaking down the Time Trail at Devil's Den
Both sets of equipment will be moved to downtown Fayetteville for the Criterium on Sunday.

Location

Devil's Den - Check in at start line near the swimming pool. You will have to park before the bridge and walk over. You will not be able to access the park from Winslow.

South Fayetteville - will be sent exact directions after signing up.

We need lots of help to barricade the race course throughout downtown Fayetteville and Dickson St. Also setting up the finish line.

Set up occurs in the way early morning hours and will be finished by 8 am.
