SEPTEMBER 29 - Help with hanging no parking signs along the course and notifying the neighbors about the upcoming event.

Location

Meet at El Rodeo Elementary School and walk throughout the course.

Day Before Packet Pick Up High Priority

October 5, 2024

Details

OCTOBER 5 - Volunteers will be needed to help distribute race day bibs to participants.
Please Arrive early prior to Start Time
Start Time 2:00 PM (Packet Pick Up Begins At 3 PM - 6 PM)
You must have an eye for detail and be able to use a Chromebook.
You will be checking ID when runners arrive to verify they are the person on the registration, marking the back of the bib with their shirt size, and helping answer race related questions.
Wear comfortable/casual clothing. You will be outside, wear sunscreen and a hat. You will be provided with a safety vest that you will return at the end of the event. Water and snacks will be available.

Event Day Registration High Priority

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

OCTOBER 6 - Training for this task will begin at 6:30 am. Please arrive by 6 am to park, get signed in, and be assigned to registration
Volunteers will be needed to help distribute race day bibs to participants.

T-Shirt Distribution Medium Priority

Details

OCTOBER 6 - Volunteers will help with race day distribution of t-shirts. You must be able to lift 25 lbs.
You may need to lift and open the boxes of shirts.
You will be checking the back of the participant bibs to check for size and mark off that they already received a shirt.
Wear comfortable/casual clothing.
You will be outside, wear sunscreen and a hat. You will be provided with a safety vest that you will return at the end of the event.
Water and snacks will be available. Prior to Being Assigned to your Area feel free to Stop by for a Donut at the Volunteer Check in Booth.

Finish Line Staging Medium Priority

OCTOBER 6 - Volunteers are needed to unpack and display medals, hand out our medals to finishers, set up and pass out race day refreshments. You should be able to lift 25lbs Wear comfortable/casual clothing. You will be outside, wear sunscreen and a hat. You will be provided with a safety vest that you will return at the end of the event. Course Supervision High Priority

Location

Various, in Beverly Hills, no more than a mile away from the Start Line. You will be assigned a spot on the course.

Water Station High Priority

Details

OCTOBER 6 - Groups of 3 to 4 volunteers are needed to pass water out on the COURSE.
Volunteers are needed to distribute water along the course to runners and be the very best cheerleaders they have ever seen. This is great for small groups who want to be out on course and part of the action.
Wear comfortable/casual clothing. You will be outside, wear sunscreen and a hat. You will be provided with a safety vest that you will return at the end of the event. Clean Up Crew / Breakdown

OCTOBER 6 - If you can't make it early we need volunteers to arrive by 10 am to help break down the expo area, help organize tables, and tents to be loaded on trucks, toss out all the trash, and leave the area better looking than when we arrived. Expo Activities & Kid's Race Medium Priority

Details

October 6 - 7:00am - 11am. Help out with the expo including kid's activities like face paint and relay races, and assist at the star photo station. Then help us guide the kids in the kid's race!
