We need volunteers to help runners get their race shirts. After runners get their bib, they will come to you retrieve their race shirt. You will take their ticket from their bib and exchange it for the appropriate shirt size. You will be outside and on your feet for your entire shift. About 70% of our runners will need to pick up a Reusable Cup. They will have a ticket on their bib that you will exchange for the cup. You will also need to show people how to use it (which is very easy to learn). We will have a cooler setup at the Expo for runners to practice using their reusable cup. We will need you to help keep the water coolers full for demonstrations. We advise you to bring your own water/snacks to keep you going during your shift.

The race expo and venue has ample parking but we need help making sure vehicles park in an orderly manner to maximize parking spaces during the event. You will be given a hi-viz, reflective vest and a flag or light wand to help participants park properly. We also recommend wearing a hat as you may not be in shade during the volunteer shift. You will instruct runners to write their name and bib number on the plastic bags we provide. Runners will put their belongings in the bag and leave it at the start line before starting their race. You will be organizing the Gear Check bags by bib number. There will be signs with bib numbers group in a range to help keep this area as neat as possible. Runners will tell you their bib numbers and you will locate their gear check bag. Items that were dropped at the aid station near mile 3 will be laid in a pile near the gear check bags, so runners can go through the pile. Any clothing left over will be donated to a local charity. We advise you to bring your own water/snacks to keep you going during your shift. It may be a good idea to bring a head lamp and jacket too.
