Details

Be behind the scenes and the first to see how the race begins! Duties include organizing/handing out shirts, assisting runners with finding their bib number, greeting participants with smiles and event guides, answering questions/providing race information. Position requires some light lifting up to 30 lbs. Volunteers are responsible for cleaning up their area before they leave.

Details

Meet Race Director Tim Bergsten at Limekiln Trailhead at 5:30 a.m. in the Park. Need to pack up, drive up closer to aid area, hike .6 miles and set up water and aid station. Water and tables will be close to the location, but will need to be set up. Breakdown and hike out with equipment at 7:45. This provide an opportunity for volunteers to move to volunteer shift. Volunteers need to be healthy and able to hike with 20 lbs.

Volunteers are needed to pour water, organize table, clean up used cups and cheer on runners. This is a very interactive and critical position for event as proper hydration is essential to the safety of all participants. Each water station will have a captain to lead the other volunteers and keep abreast to what is happening along the course. Communication operator will be present at each location to alert medical personnel to any issues encountered at the water station.

Meet Race Director Tim Bergsten at Limekiln Trailhead at 5:30 a.m. in the Park. Haul water and tables to the location. This about 200 yards from Start/Finish Area. Volunteers will continue to haul water to this location since it will see the runners at least twice.

Volunteers are needed to pour water, organize table, clean up used cups and cheer on runners. This is a very interactive and critical position for event as proper hydration is essential to the safety of all participants. Each water station will have a captain to lead the other volunteers and keep abreast to what is happening along the course. Communication operator will be present at each location to alert medical personnel to any issues encountered at the water station.

Water and tables will be close to the location, but will need to be set up. Volunteers need to be healthy and able to hike with 20 lbs. Volunteers backpack in food/garbage cans/cups and supplies. Volunteers should have experience with trail racing. This is a high used water station

Patrols the southern part of the course and sprays runners with cool water as needed and requested.

Must have a sense of adventure and humor.

Details

Volunteers will have a choice of a variety of operation experiences. This included being part of the official set-up crew the day before the event. Help is needed with installing signage, moving boxes, and cleaning the site after the event. This is a perfect volunteer position for those looking for a more physically interactive job. There are other operations positions that will be needed during the week of the event.
