This task will have several volunteers stationed in different areas directing racers where to park... and where not to park. Encourage runners to carpool to the start line from the larger "Mayday" parking area.

Details

Help setup the aid station tent and table; cheer runners; and hand out food, water, and electrolyte drinks to runners as they pass. The course has one aid station location that all runners will pass two times.

Race organizers will share instructions in advance and there will be an experienced aid station caption in charge to help.

Run or hike the full course behind the last participant and pick up all course marking flags as you go.

Please only sign up if you are confident in your fitness to complete the course. You don't have to go at race speed but you will be doing the whole course on foot. Race organizers will share instructions in advance and will be present at the start line to meet you on the day of.

Assist the Lead Timer to record accurate times by helping to identify all runners' bib numbers as they approach the finish. The race uses an easy computer system for timing but it is not a fully-automated chip timing system.

Details

One of the perks of being a runner (or volunteer) at this race is the burrito waiting for you at the finish line. This volunteer job is to pick up burritos in town in Durango on the morning of the race, then drive them to the finish line and help give out food and prizes to runners.

Help disassemble the tables, tents, food, water, and other gear at the finish line, and load it into our truck. Optionally, if you're able - we'd appreciate help from 1 or 2 people to unload the truck back in Durango - please email the race after signing up for the role if you're interested.
