Volunteers are stationed at Exchanges to act as Race Marshals. As Race Marshals, your primary responsibility will be to keep runners and volunteers safe at your exchange during your allotted time. There will be three positions at each exchange 1) Time/Runner Exchange Monitor - record runner exchange times on exchange time sheet, ensure a clean exchange at proper exchange point, maintain exchange operation; 2) Spotter - calling out runners bib numbers to alert teams/exchange monitor on upcoming team exchange from 25-50 yards in front of exchange; 3) Van Monitor - ensure teams are parking vans in designated areas, runner and non-runner safety from traffic. (Not all exchanges will have Van Monitors)
