EARLY PACKET PICK UP

Friday Packet Pick Up High Priority

Details

Runners and walkers will have the chance on Friday May 17 to pick up their race packet early. Duties include organizing and handing out shirts, bibs, and swag bags, as well as greeting participants with smiles, providing race information, and answering questions (some light lifting - up to 30 lbs.)

Saturday Packet Pick Up High Priority

Assist in setting up the site as needed (Tents, tables, etc.)

Assist in directing attendees to available parking spaces.

"Ask Me" Team Medium Priority

Details

Who? What? Where? When? Why? How? - Provide runners, spectators, and supporters with answers to their questions, such as: Where is Registration, Where is the start line/finish line, Do you have a course map, What time does the Kids Race Start, etc. All information will be provided by race staff.

First Aid Station Medium Priority

Assist medical professionals in running for supplies or helping with communications.

REGISTRATION

Registration High Priority

Details

There are several categories of registration jobs: Checking in and handing out bibs to pre-registered runners/walkers, registering race day runners/walkers, distributing T-Shirts, and getting new applications to the timer.

COURSE

Course Marshalls High Priority

May 19, 2019

Details

Course Marshals will be stationed at strategic points along the course, to direct runners and walkers at turns and turnarounds, to be mindful of runner safety (Traffic, etc) and to cheer runners on.

Corrals and Kids Race Medium Priority

May 19, 2019

Details

Help organize and conduct the Kids Race with assistance of race staff. Then assist 5K participants in lining up at the start line in groups based on projected pace.

Water Station High Priority

May 26, 2019

Details

Great for groups. Fill up cups of water from dispensers, hand to runners and walkers as they pass by, cheer them on, and clean up discarded cups.

Finish Line High Priority

May 19, 2019

Details

As runners and walkers complete the race and cross the finish line, volunteers will offer them water and present them with finisher medals.

Cheer Station Low Priority

May 26, 2019

Details

Great for groups. Be a key player in keeping the excitment and momentum going on the course. Paint your faces, wear silly clothes, wear your team colors, make banners and posters. Duties include acting crazy, screaming, cheering, laughing, and bringing smiles to peoples faces.

Cyclist High Priority

Details

We would like one cyclist to lead the race and a second to sweep the course, ensuring that all runners and walkers stay on the course and successfully complete it.

POST RACE

Food Table High Priority

Details

After the race starts, set up the food table with bananas, apples, bagels, water, etc.

(Registration and Parking volunteers can also sign up for this task if they would like to.)

Clean Up Crew High Priority

May 19, 2019

Details

When all is said and done, we have to say goodbye to out great event until next year. Our final task for volunteers is to help break down tents, tables, signage and to clean up the area and take care of trash.
