Packet Pickup - Early Check In High Priority

Packet Pickup takes place at our barn in Wilton, CT the Friday before race weekend (4/28)

In-person participants will come to pick up their race bib and t-shirt between 2 - 5 PM.

Volunteers for this task must be organized and comfortable using a laptop or cell phone - bib numbers given to participants MUST be tracked and recorded on RunSignup to ensure accurate tracking of run times on race day. Runners will also be pre "checked in" for the race during Packet Pickup.

Registrant Check-In Tent High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

On race day, those who did not attend pre-race Packet Pickup (the week before the race) will need to check in at the Check-In Tent. Volunteers for this task must be organized and comfortable using a cell phone to check in participants.

Registrants will need to be "checked in" on RunSignup and bib numbers will need to be added to their account. Volunteer needs for this tent include t-shirt distribution & organization, bib distribution, and check-in & tracking.

Parking Attendant High Priority

You must be 21 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Volunteers will need to direct incoming traffic within the parking lots at Merwin Meadows. When the lot is full, volunteers will move up to the main road to monitor traffic and re-direct cars to follow the overflow parking signage leading them to Wilton Playshop and the Red Rooster parking lot.

After the race, parking attendant volunteers may need to help with traffic flow as cars are exiting the lot.

Site Setup High Priority

This is a hands-on task! Volunteers must be able to help set up tables/tents/etc., carry materials from cars to the site, and follow directions on placement.

Circle of Care Information Table Medium Priority

Details

Volunteers are needed to help provide information about Circle of Care and collect donations at the After Race Tailgate. This will be overseen by Circle of Care representatives.

Volunteers should be comfortable using Square or Venmo to collect donations and/or distributing change for cash donations.

Volunteers will guide participants on how to use the Inspiration Wall and hand out supplies.

Volunteers will encourage photo-taking among participants at our Photo Station. Volunteers must be comfortable using cell phones to take clear pictures of participants who may ask for help.

This is a hands-on task! Volunteers will assist in breaking down the event, ensuring all garbage is properly disposed of, and helping to load trucks with supplies from the race.

Floating Volunteers Medium Priority

Details

Volunteers for this task must have great attention to detail! Floating volunteers will walk around the race site and ensure other volunteers have everything they need and operations are running smoothly.

Volunteers for this task will also monitor the garbage situation, swap out bags when needed, look for any loose items on the park property that needs to be thrown out.
