2 individuals needed to wave the flag at the 1/2 mile mark in order for those individuals who have selected the 1 mile race can turn around. Also their will be water in coolers for those wishing to quench their thirst.

Coquina Beach, South Entrance 1/2 mile from the start of the Race. Check - In at volunteer check-in to let us know you have arrived. Must be present by 7:30 A.M. Thank you.

Cooler preparations High Priority

You must be 15-30 years old to volunteer for this task.

Details

We need 5 coolers prepared with 20 cold water bottles and placed out on the course with 5 adults keeping an eye on the coolers and offering water to any requesting it. (One adult per cooler)

Location

One cooler at the finish. Two coolers will be placed at the 1/2 mile mark with 2 adults and 2 collers will be at the the 1 1/2 mile mark (this is the turn around point for the 5K).

Only official participants should be given water.

Check - In at volunteer check-in to let us know you have arrived. Must be present by 7:30 A.M. Thank you.

This location is the turn around point for all runners/walkers participating in the Footprints in the Sand Race.

We need 3 individuals who will wave the flags and keep an eye out for students. ALL STUDENTS must turn around at this point.

All individuals must arrive by 7:00 A.M.

3 First Aid walkers will walk the race at intervals with back-packs filled with proper first aid equipment. Should anyone on the route need assistance they will provide such assistance. Remember life guards should be notified as soon as possible.

One/ two inidividuals to man the first aid tent during the event from 8:00 until 12:00 noon.

Details

Lead 6 games for the students after they return from the walk.
1. Treasure find (Coins in the Sand)
All students participating will earn one St. Joseph dollar for participating and 10 St.
Joseph dollars for finding the most money.
2. Line races. Catagories for k-2, 3-5, 6-8. Participants all receive 1 St. Joseph dollar for
participating and the students in the line who won will each receive 10 St. Joseph
dollars.
3. Race to the Cones. Same category breakdown as above. Same rewards as above.
4. Fill their bucket with water. Same category breakdown as above. Same rewards as
above.
5. Crab crawl and run back. Same category breakdown as above. Same rewards as
above.
6. Hold hands run. Same category breakdown as above. Same rewards as above.

Details

Please oversee the food as it arrives. All food should go under the pavilion and blocked off from anyone entering within the tent area except the food coordinators. Place table cloths on the tables for eating.

Must be present by 7:00 AM to begin setting up. Paper plates, knapkins, forks if necessary.
