Details

Assist Race Director with pre-race assigned tasks. Middle School Students must be accompanied with an adult. High school students can accompany an adult or two high school students will be paired together (two student volunteers count as 1 adult volunteer).

Please arrive by 8:00 AM and ask for Kara or Jill.

This race will start at Granada Plaza Shopping Center, Ormond Beach, FL for parking then walking across the street to Granada Beach ramp access across A1A Road on the beach.

You will be placed out on the course ensure runners/walkers stay on the course route. Middle school and elementary school children must be accompanied by an adult. High school students can accompany an adult or two high school students will be paired together (two student volunteers count as 1 adult volunteer).

Please arrive by 8:00 AM. You will meet with the Race Coordinators Jill and Kara who will assign you to your course location.

Water Station High Priority

Details

There will be one water stations on the course. Need at least three adults at the water stations.

You will hand out set up and hand out the water to runners on the course. Additionally, you will need to clean up any discarded bottles as runners pass by and after the last runner/walker goes through the water station. Contact UPCELTO Staff if fluids or supplies need to be replenished. Pick up any trash (empty bottles, fuel packets, etc) prior to breaking down the water station. Volunteers must wear a mask.

Please arrive by 8:00 AM. You will meet with the Volunteer Coordinator Kara or Jill who will give you further instruction and assign you to the water station location.

During/Post Race Clean Up High Priority

Details

These tasks include but not limited to: emptying full garbage cans and replacing the bags at the finish line water station and around the race site during the race as they will get quite full as runners come across the finish line. Additionally, police the race site area (grassy area, finish line, area near bathrooms, and parking lot) for any garbage and throw it away. The race site must be cleaned before we can leave the venue. Additionally, there will be help needed to carry equipment to the UPCELTO Van once the race is over.
