Run a steady pre-determined speed and keep track of that pace so that your group can achieve their goal of finishing the marathon at a particular time.
A good pacer must be a steady, consistent runner who is focused on maintaining his speed and loves helping other runners realize their goals!!
You will hold up a pace sign so your runners can see and choose/stay with their desired group.

Help with exchange set up (cones, tables, tents, etc).
Help with exchange break down (yep- cones, tables and tents, etc).
Help with traffic flow management- telling teams and runners where to park.

Details

Come on out along the race route to provide music, song or cheer to passing runners!

Don't stop cheering!! All runners need and appreciate encouragement. Make sure they can hear you! Look at their shirts and race bibs and greet them by name or bib number.

Stay off the roadway and safely on either sidewalks or grassy areas; leave the roadway open for runners.

Make signs, bring flags, play music on your radio/car and cheer on runners. If you plan to sing with an amp, please let us know first.

Be respectful of private property. Don't obstruct access to buildings or leave trash or signs behind.
