Race Day Set Up and Break Down High Priority

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Arrive at 6 a.m.
Find each other in the parking lot and help unload cars, and carry equipment to shelter #315
We will be setting up tents, tables, etc.
One person will need to ride a bike along the race course and put up signs.
After race is over, we'll pick up any trash from participants and re-pack and carry items back to cars.

Race Day Start / Finish Area Crew High Priority

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

6:30 a.m. - 10 a.m.
We'll be setting up tents and tables if the Setup Crew needs more help.
Hand every 5K runner a medal as they cross the finish line, they'll get a drink, then direct them back to shelter #315 for food.
ALL CHILDREN RECEIVE MEDALS, regardless of distance.
Pick up trash around finish area after race.
Bring extra medals back to shelter #315.
Assist with distribution of age-group award prizes after race is over.

Location

Upon arrival, look for cars in the parking lot with the equipment (tents & tables.) If they're not fully unloaded yet, may need to help carry gear from cars to shelter #315.
Then meet at Shelter #315

Race Day Water Station High Priority

You must be 12 or older to volunteer for this task.

This volunteer task is full.

Details

Meet at shelter #315 at 7:30 a.m.
Bring gallons of water and cups out to on course water station.
There will be a large thermos on the water station - pour the water in the thermos.
Fill cups half way and hand to runners as they pass by.
After last runner passes, clean up all trash and return supplies to shelter #315.
The other job for 2 volunteers is to stand at the split in the course and direct the 5K runners on the right path.

Halfway on 5k course.

Food Table High Priority

You must be 12 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Check in at shelter #315 at 7:30 a.m.
Put drinks in the finish line coolers.
Set out food on table in shelter. Cut bananas.
After race, hand out drinks at finish.
Hand out food at the shelter.
Work table through the whole event and clean up afterwards.

Details

Arrive at 6am.
Download Raceday Check-in app on your phone.
You're the smiling face that greets people when they arrive!
Check runners in, give them a chipped bib and correct size t-shirts.
Check in volunteers, give them their t-shirt from a SEPARATE box.
Give t-shirts to donors and sponsors.
NOTE: If runner registered after our t-shirt cutoff date, they may not get a t-shirt. You'll know this because there won't be a t-shirt size with their name on the check-in screen. You can instruct them to come back after the race and pick a size from what is leftover, but NOT from the Volunteer/Sponsor/Donor box. We want to guarantee that the early registered runners get their shirts. ALL RUNNERS WILL GET MEDALS.

Be ready to talk about Stop The Movement and hand out resources.
Get their email address for our mailing list.
