Kids Fun Run Sweeper

Details

The Kids Fun Run Sweeper is responsible for making sure everyone makes it through the Kids 1/2 Dash & 1 Mile Fun Run safely to the finish line. The sweeper will walk behind the very last participant all the way through the entire race. This will take approx. 45 minutes

Transform into Wildcat Willie by wearing a costume and cheering on the Kids 1/2 Dash and 1 Mile Fun Run participants.

Volunteer should be enthusiastic and engage with kids. Also plan on being hydrated before arriving and expect hot temperatures (even with the costumes built-in fan).

Please arrive no later than 5:30pm and check-in at the Volunteer Tent.

Setup & Clean Up

Details

The race may only last a few minutes for some and hour for others, but it takes a dedicated crew of volunteers to setup and clean up for more than 6 hours to pull off the race.

Greeters

May 3, 2024

Details

Greeters are responsible for greeting participants as they arrive to the Courthouse Courtyard and prepare for the race. Greeters help direct participants to the correct tent they need to sign in at, where the bathroom facilities are located, where the start line is and answer any other questions they may have. Greeters must be outgoing and friendly at all times!

Please arrive no later than 5pm and check-in at the Volunteer Tent.

T-Shirt Table @ Registration

Sweeper

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

The Sweeper is responsible for making sure everyone makes it through the 5K safely to the finish line. The sweeper will ride their bike or walk behind the very last participant all the way through the entire race. This will take approx. 1 hour & 15 minutes

Keeping everyone safe & hydrated during the event is a top priority for SMM. Providing assistance during a time of medical need is also just as important.

*Volunteer must have some medical knowledge and be willing to safely help participants who are ill or hurt.

We need your help at the finish line! As each participants runs or walks through the finish line, they will be greeted by you with water, gatorade, granola bars, and bananas. Help us make the finish line a safe & exciting place to be at the end of the race!

Please arrive no later than 5:45pm and check-in at the Volunteer Tent.

You will receive an email the week of the race.

Must be at least 18 years of age or older to volunteer at this tent.

We need your help assisting participants at the Water Table @ the 5K Start Line and along the fun run route. You'll be offering small cups of water & banana's to those waiting to Run and Walk in the 5K and to those participating in the fun runs.

Please arrive no later than 5pm and check-in at the Volunteer Tent.

Please do not move the water tent, table or supplies. These locations have been pre-approved by property owners.
