Details

We are in need of volunteers to assist with giving parking directions upon thru-hiker arrival and ensuring all hiker safety forms are completed and signed before the start of the event. Check-in volunteers will arrive at 6:00am for a briefing, grab-and-go breakfast and to take their stations for hiker arrival at 6:30am. This is a great way to get to know event leaders and support the Hike2O mission.

Trail Buddies High Priority

Details

We are in need of experienced, volunteer hikers to accompany our event leaders and event participants on the trail. Volunteers should be familiar with the Ocean to Lake Hiking Trail and have extensive experience primitive camping in south Florida, basic to advanced backpacking gear and basic trail first-aid. This is a great way to get to know event leaders, promote fun and safety on the trail, and support the Hike2O mission.

All Trail Buddy volunteers will be vetted and confirmed with event staff. Membership to the Florida Trail Association - Loxahatchee Chapter is preferred, but not required.

Location

Trail Buddy volunteers will meet at the Everglades Youth Conservation Camp at 6:30am on Friday and accompany hikers on the 3-day thru hike.

Hike2O Virtual Hike Ambassador High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

We are seeking volunteers to serve as event ambassadors on various trails throughout the US. The Virtual Hike Ambassador will serve as a hiking guide OR primary point-of-contact for virtual hike participants on a trail of their choice. Virtual Hike Ambassadors typically help promote the event and recruit virtual hikers in their local area, encouraging to join them on the trail over the weekend of March 5 - 7, 2021. This is a great way to get serve as a local leader and advance the Hike2O mission to your community.
