To efficiently and accurately process new participant registrations, collect fees, distribute race materials, and ensure all participants complete necessary waivers before starting the race.

Responsibilities include announcing the official results posting area and the time of the awards ceremony, leading the awards ceremony, calling winners to the podium or designated area.

Registration PREP (Bags) High Priority

Responsibilities include: attending a brief orientation meeting to understand the process and receive instruction, working in an assembly line fashion to place all designated items (bibs, shirts, pamphlets, freebies) into each runner's bag, verifying each bag contains the correct items, paying attention to specific t-shirt sizes or pre-assigned bib numbers, organizing the completed bags (e.g., alphabetically by runner name or by bib number range) for easy access during pickup.

This task will be accomplished the Friday before the race.

Brenau Cheerleaders

The primary task for cheerleaders is to motivate and encourage all participants, helping maintain high morale and an energetic atmosphere along the course. There will be a brief meeting/training the week before the event.

MC/ WBCX- (Brenau employees only)

The MC is the "voice" of the event, engaging participants, making announcements, and maintaining an energetic atmosphere throughout the day.
Responsibilities include: Greeting participants, sponsors, and volunteers as they arrive. Announcing key logistical details, such as packet pickup locations, restroom locations, and the race day timeline, recognizing and thanking all sponsors and charity partners, announcing the official results posting area and the time of the awards ceremony, leading the awards ceremony, calling winners to the podium or designated area, and playing up-beat music and ensure a lively atmosphere for participants.

The Pre-Registration Table Volunteer is the first point of contact for pre-registered runners on event day. The key responsibility is to facilitate a quick and welcoming packet pickup process, ensuring each participant receives the correct race materials.

Face Painting

The 5K Finishing Chute task involves managing the flow of tired runners post-race, guiding them through designated zones for medals, water, food, and photo ops, ensuring smooth movement, preventing bottlenecks, directing to gear/meet-up areas, and providing essentials for all finishers to create a positive, confusion-free exit and celebration.

A 5K Warm-up Leader guides participants through a dynamic, safe, and fun pre-race routine (brisk walk, light jog, dynamic stretches like leg swings/arm circles, and maybe some short strides) to elevate heart rates and prepare muscles, ensuring everyone feels energized and ready for the event start, fostering an inclusive atmosphere for runners and walkers alike.
