Pre-Race Coffee and Doughnut Team!

This is a PRE-race task and volunteers will be distributed among the following tasks:
Make and set up the coffee station! Pick up doughnuts from the shop and set them out at 5k.

Setup Crew

At least 25 more volunteers needed.

Details

The following jobs will be divided between the Setup Crew:
Transport things from Alpha to 5k location
Set up registration table
Set up food tables
Set up magic area tent and table
Set up balloon area tent and table
Set up first Aid tent and table
Set up Tables and Chairs
Set up cornholes and other games
Set up Alpha table
Set up water table and put water on it
Set up Hydration stations along route
Signs along route
Parking signs and parking lot barriers
Stage/amp
Registration table/Prize table

Pre-Race Prep

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Details

People involved with the Pre-Race Prep will be committed to helping BEFORE the race day, and will be divided into these jobs:
Assemble swag bags
Make signage: Parking, First Aid, Registration
Pick up items being loaned to Alpha for the race and drop off at Ankeny Alpha location on Friday, 4/11

Race duration and Post Race Activities

Race Route Crew

At least 10 more volunteers needed.

Details

Those participating in the Race Route Crew will be spaced along the race route to guide and cheer along participants!

Hydration Station

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Details

Hand out water and manage hydration stations along the route.

Food & Refreshments

At least 10 more volunteers needed.

Details

The Food and Refreshment Crew will divide the following tasks:
Serve lunch to participants and ensure food area cleanliness
Manage garbage throughout event
Package up leftover food to donate

Crowd Help

At least 6 more volunteers needed.

Details

Those involved with Crowd Help will be divided into the following jobs:
Oversee stretching tents pre-race
Oversee stretching tents post-race
Registration Table
Prize Table
Oversee magician and balloon artist
Host Alpha table

Registration and Check-In

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Manage participant check-in and distribute race materials (bib numbers, maps, etc.). This would be the afternoon before the race as well as the morning of the race.

Course Marshals

At least 6 more volunteers needed.

Details

Those participating in the Course Marshal Team will be divided into:
Direct participants along the route
Ensure safety at key points

Parking Attendants

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

Those helping with parking will direct traffic and manage parking logistics.

Traffic Control - Must be Active or Retired Law Enforcement High Priority

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Details

Active or Retired Law Enforcement to help with traffic control and security.

Post Race Activities

Tear-Down Crew

At least 24 more volunteers needed.

Details

Those involved with the Tear-Down Crew will be divided into the following jobs:
Take down tents, tables and chairs, and signage
Take things back to Alpha
Return tables and chairs
Return stage
Pick up signs and hydration stations along the route.2
Collect trash and put behind Ankeny Alpha by trash cans
Pack up corn hole and any other parking lot games
Pack up Alpha table

Clean-up Crew

At least 25 more volunteers needed.

Details

Those participating in the Clean-Up Crew will be divided into the following jobs:
Take down tents, tables and chairs, and signage
Take things back to Alpha
Return tables and chairs
Return stage
Pick up signs and hydration stations along the route
Collect trash and put behind Ankeny Alpha by trash cans
Pack up corn hole and any other parking lot games
Pack up Alpha table
