Help Humane Society staff to load and unload all items needed for event. Under staff direction place items in appropriate spaces and complete all task until set up is complete. Will report directly to the Humane Society Staff.

Details

Direct traffic to appropriate parking spaces, watching and monitoring lot for loose animals and unattended children. Help pick up litter during the event. Will report to Head of Security.

Registrar

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Takes registrations from participants, counts money being turned in, provides receipt and lets Prize Packer know what dollar amount is received to pack the prizes. Will report directly to a Humane Society Employee.

Details

Gets prize levels from Registrar and packs up the prizes earned based on amount of money raised. Once complete will give prize pack to the assigned Registrar you are working with. Box up and tear down when registration table closes. Will report directly to assigned Registrar.

Water Boy/Girl

Details

Distribute water along the trail to the runners/walkers or animals. Resupply as needed and tear town when run/walk is complete. Will report directly to a Humane Society Employee.

Details

Color walkers at designated spots along the walking trail. Once walk is over, tear down station and clean up as needed. Will report directly to a Humane Society Employee.

Silent Auction Monitor

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Monitor bids and silent auction items throughout event. Once announced auction bidding is complete, tally up the winner of each item and submit to the assigned Humane Society Employee to announce. Monitor items and distribute as you receive receipts of payment by individuals. Tear down tables, chairs and clean up as needed when complete. Will report directly to Humane Society Employee .

Main person in charge of relaying and training Security Aides and Parking Attendants before, during and after event. Will report directly to Humane Society Employee.

Walks around before, during and after event. Keeps eyes open for unattended animals not on leash or running. Keeps eyes open for inappropriate activity and reports everything to Head of Security immediately. Will report directly to Head of Security.

You must be 20 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Will check in Booth Sponsors, assign them to booth space and assign a booth monitor, make introduction and be available to booth monitors throughout event. Ensure tear down and clean up of booths at the end of the event. Will report directly to a Humane Society Employee.

Will be in charge of beginning each contest, checking in participants when required and ensuring the appropriate prizes are distributed to the contest winners. Will ensure clean up and tear down of contest area when all contest are complete. Will report directly to a Humane Society Employee.

Will help set up food area, ensuring that each station has all the supplies needed to fulfill their positions. Will keep in constant contact with Humane Society Employee. Will oversee Concession Workers and Grillers throughout event.

Will help dispense hotdogs, chips or beverages to participants. Will communicate with Head of concessions if in need of additional supplies or needs. Will ensure concession is organized and well stocked. Will help clean up at the end of the event as needed. Will report directly to the Head of Concessions.

Will grill hot dogs throughout event and give finished ones to the concession workers for distribution. Will communicate any needs and report directly to Head of Concessions.

Will assist Humane Society Employee with holding, walking, supporting and all things necessary throughout event for possible adoptions of animals brought. Will report directly to Humane Society Employee.

Details

Will help clean up entire event area, litter, signs, tables, chairs and all equipment used and load up to transport back to the Siouxland Humane Society. Will report directly to a Siouxland Humane Society Employee.
