Details

As event participants drop off kayaks and SUPs, we need volunteers to guide cars through a one-way path down Lakeshore Drive. This will make drop off smooth and efficient.

Kayak and SUP guards Medium Priority

Details

Once event participants leave their kayaks and SUPs and head on the run, we need volunteers to guard them. We also need the same volunteers to assist in moving them, if necessary, to make room. Volunteers will also make sure the correct participant is picking up the correct kayak or SUP.

Aid Station at Run course

Details

We will need volunteers to man one of the two aid stations. One is located at the run turn around just before Beeby Road near Le Peep and the other near Univ of Idaho CdA campus. This will be a cupless event where athletes receive a collapsible cup to use at the aid station. Refill the containers as necessary and take down the station when the event is complete.

Finish Line Gear Givers

Details

Volunteers will be at the finish line to hand out finisher gear to participants. You will need to take the tag from their bib showing they received it.

Run Course Marshals

Volunteers will be stationed at various locations on the run course to ensure participants are heading in the correct direction.

Water Safety High Priority

Details

Along with the Sheriff boat patrol units, we need individuals in kayaks, small boats and/or jet skis to ensure the safety of our athletes on the water.

Overnight Boat Security High Priority

You must be 21 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

We are looking for one person to provide security overnight at Sanders Beach. This person will watch over the kayaks and SUPs athletes drop off the day before the event.

This is a paid position and requires an overnight stay. It will be from 7:00p to 7:00a on Friday, Sept 11 and Saturday, Sept 12.
