Course Sweeper Medium Priority

September 19, 2026

Details

Looking for Some Miles? Help Us Safely Clear the Course

This is a great opportunity to get some miles in while helping us safely close down the course behind the final runners.

Once the Cold Friday Aid Station closes or we receive word that the final runner has passed, sweepers will begin moving out onto the course starting from Start/Group Camp.
Lightly begin unmarking the course behind the final runner for safety and cleanup.
Collect course-marking ribbons from trees and other locations and leave them at the next main course location, such as an aid station or liquid-only station.
Be prepared to potentially cover the full 25-mile loop.
If we have enough sweepers, we will divide the course into smaller sections.
Specific sections and instructions will be discussed directly with sweepers before heading out.

Please be prepared for a long day on your feet and to move at the pace needed to stay behind the final runners. This is both a course cleanup and safety position, so communication with race staff is important.
