Volunteer Instructions – Course Volunteers
Volunteers will arrive at 7:00 AM for a short meeting at Northwood Middle School, where they will receive their route assignments. Help ensure a smooth race experience by directing runners and walkers along the course. Your responsibilities include guiding participants, keeping them on track, and enhancing the overall event atmosphere. Course volunteers should be encouraging, helpful, and enthusiastic, helping make race day fun for everyone!

Bike Pacer High Priority

Bike Pacer
• Lead the front pack for both the 1 Mile and 5K.
• Follow the back-of-the-pack walkers to keep everyone safe.
• Arrive 20–30 minutes before race start and check in with the Race Volunteer Coordinator.
• Safety: Helmet required; bike lights recommended.
• Be ready for anything: Rain, snow, cold, or all of the above—April weather is unpredictable!

Morning Operations Volunteer
Assist the race team with morning activities. Tasks may include providing water to participants, handing out medals at the finish line, helping at the start line, and supporting other race-day needs as they arise.

Important: You will be outside at Northwood Middle School, 301 North Elkhart Street, Wakarusa, IN 46573, on the west side of the building in April. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
