Details

Arrival 6:40-6:45am
Check-in begins at 7:00am
-Set out Race Registration and Check- IN sign
-Set out the Registration QR code
-Set out the Race Map
For day of registrations- have them scan the QR code to register online. Must be done before 8am.
One person in charge of the online Check-in
-Using race day check-in app or laptop, type participants name to find them
-Select “Check-in”
-Relay shirt size and bib number to the other volunteers
One handing out shirts
-Shirts will be in boxes by size
-One person finding bibs
-Hand the bib to the participant and remind them to take the safety pins
We will stop taking registrations and check-ins at 8:00am.
Extra t-shirts will be distributed post-race, do not distribute them before the end of the race please.
At 8:05, begin packing up any possible extra shirts in the box. Any additional bibs can be put in the box as well.
Take the box of extras to the awards table (at the stage) to be put underneath the table.

EXTRAS
Restrooms for participants are located in East of Chicago (opening at 8am) or the town bathrooms. If port-a-pot is at the park, they can use that too.
The start will be on Main Street beside the stage. The finish will be the alley behind the stage.
The water station is just past the halfway mark on the course, at the intersection of Meridian and Flowing Well

Water Station High Priority

You must be 13 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Set-up
Arrive by 8:00am
-You will be transported to the end of flowing well road, where the water station is.
-Already at the station will be a table and a box that has dixie cups, water jug, signs, flag decorations, tape, trash can, broom with dustpan, and turn around cone and station sign
-If applicable- adjust the barricades that are located at the end of the road as needed to keep the road blocked for safety.
-Decorate the table with the flags, hang the water station sign, place the cone at the intersection of meridian and flowing well road (in the turn around arrow painted on the road).
-Place the garbage can at the end of the table with broom near
During the Race (8:20-9:30AM)
-At 8:20am make sure to have several dixie cups pre-filled with water
-As runners/walkers come by, hand out water to them as needed.
-During periods where there are less groups, make sure to fill more cups with water.
-Make sure to have someone picking up trash with the broom and dustpan often, keep the course safe for participants
Once the final participant passes you may begin collecting any leftover trash and start putting the signs, flags, extra cups in the empty box.
You may take the table down and place the box and table in the ditch to be picked up later.
Return to riverside park. Make sure to watch for participants on your way back.
