At the start of the event, Greeters play a vital role in welcoming participants and helping them feel comfortable. You’ll assist guests in navigating the venue — showing them or explaining where to find check-in, water stations, restrooms, and other key areas.
Your main task is to look for participants who may appear unsure of where to go and kindly offer guidance. Cowtown can feel large and overwhelming, especially for those who are newly bereaved, so please engage everyone with care, compassion, and a warm smile.
Greeters are one of the most important volunteer roles — you set the tone for the entire event by creating a welcoming, supportive atmosphere.
At the finish line, please give medals to all children as they complete the course. Celebrate their accomplishment and make them feel proud of their achievement!
