Details

Volunteers will assist with moving beds and cones if there is a wreck during the race to clear and get them back on track. You will also re-set cones and boundaries after each heat that were moved from their set position. Volunteers must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods of time and leaning over.

Volunteers will be stationed around the race track to ensure that no spectators go on to the course during heats. Volunteers must be comfortable standing for extended periods and interacting with general public.

Volunteers will check in bed race teams and ensure that all members have turned in and completed waivers prior to the event.

Safety Inspection Team

Details

Volunteers will work with the safety captain to inspect all beds and participants prior to the race. Volunteers will receive a check list to use as they check beds to make sure they are within the guidelines and participants have the appropriate equipment.

Details

Assist the Bed Race Committee as necessary. This could include setting up tables and chairs, hanging signage, setting up racecourse and dormitory or other duties as assigned. Volunteers must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift 15 - 25lbs.
