The Marching Band Unit Ambassador is responsible for serving as the primary liaison between the parade committee and the unit. You serve as the “go-to” contact to provide answers to questions about staging, march order and overall knowledge of the parade as it relates to the unit. Your role will include greeting the Band Director, walking with the unit down Broadway and providing water and safety support as necessary along the parade route. This role does require you to walk alongside the unit for the 1.7 mile walk.

Assist the Dispersal Team to direct units from start to finish on transportation. Your role begins with providing volunteers and participants with directions on where to park, details on shuttles, directions to their staging areas and how to return to their vehicles at the end of the parade route at 9th and Broadway.

Details

Shuttle Hosts will work in pairs but are welcome to work solo if they prefer. You will ride the shuttle with each group and ensure that all parties get on and off where necessary. (Based on provided schedule.) You are provided with parade information to assist in answering group questions. Your role is to ride on shuttle buses and act as a seated customer service person. Upon completion, this group will be able to watch the parade from a designated location.
