You must be 18-100 years old to volunteer for this task.

Details

This race needs lots of volunteers along the way to guide our runners at each turn and to help the Winchester Police Department keep the traffic off the streets while we run. We need at least 56 volunteers for this position, but can take up to 112.

Course Volunteer
 Line the course and direct people and possibly traffic
 Cheer and encourage runners
 Watch for injured runners
 Report to Winchester Police Department

All along the course.

This will be the day before the race at Woody's Sports Bar and Grill in Winchester. More information TBA.

Race Set Up High Priority

October 5, 2019

Details

Arrive early and help us set up the race at BCTC campus.

Set out quarter-mile marker signs
 Load car with all quarter-mile marker yard signs
 Follow Bob Baney with Race Rise, put out quarter-mile marker signs at appropriate locations

Water Stop
 Load truck with water, coolers, Dixie cups, Sponsor banner, 1 table, 2 chairs, waste bin
 Set up table


Water Cooler
 Get ice
 Fill coolers with ice and water bottles
 Top coolers with ice

Hang Sponsorship Signage
 Logo banners near stage
 Welcome sign near starting line
 You did it! Sign near finish line
 Family fun zone

Registration
 Assemble 2 tables
 4 Chairs
 Place registration and pre-registration signs on the tables
 Set up tee-shirts behind registration according to size
 Place money box and iPad with Square on table by registration forms
 Place extra bags under registration side of table packed with everything but bib and shirt

Registering new participants and distributing tags to registered participants on the day of the race.

 When someone arrives:
• Ask their name
• Confirm their name and tee-shirt size
• Give them their bag
 Race Day Registration
 When someone arrives:
• Hand then the race day registration form and a pen
• Confirm tee-shirt size and place in bag
• Process their payment either with Square/cash/check
• Give them their bag
• Hand race day registration form to Race Rise Staff
