Welcome back for the eighth year of The Plastic Surgery Foundation's Close the Loop 5K! The Close the Loop 5K brings together plastic surgeons, patients, and the public in an effort to raise awareness and funds to support breast reconstruction charitable care and research.

Breast cancer is a devastating disease, affecting approximately 1 in 8 women in the United States. Breast reconstruction is a very personal choice — every woman should have access to her options before she has to make a decision. Profits generated are awarded to organizations focused on awareness and assistance efforts of women fighting breast cancer or pursuing breast reconstructive surgery. Thanks to the BRA program, The Plastic Surgery Foundation has allocated 188 grants, totaling over $2 million in awards.

This year's 5K will take place in New Orleans, LA, on Friday, October 10th, at 7:00 AM CST during Plastic Surgery The Meeting 2025. Funds generated by the Close the Loop 5K will be awarded to organizations through the Breast Reconstruction Awareness Campaign of The Plastic Surgery Foundation (PSF), the philanthropic arm of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
