Pre-Event Course Marking

Volunteers will join our team on Friday, October 16th to mark the race routes with signage and other course markers.

This role will involve standing, walking, and may include lifting.

Location

Meet at Tech Etch (100 Riggenbach Road, Fall River, MA 02720). Volunteer activities will occur in the Fall River Bioreserve.

Race Route Monitors High Priority

At least 8 more volunteers needed.

Details

Grab your camp chairs and a coffee! In this role, volunteers will be stationed at key points along the race route to guide race participants to the correct paths.

Race Route Monitors will be stationed at their locations prior to the start of the races and remain there until the races conclude.

This role involves standing/sitting. Monitors will walk or drive to their stations depending on where they are located along the route.

Race Route Monitors are asked to join us on the day before the event (afternoon of Friday, October 16th) in the Fall River Bioreserve to see their location assignment.

Location

Meet at Tech Etch (100 Riggenbach Road, Fall River, MA 02720) on Friday, October 16th (time TBD) to see where you will be stationed and learn the best route to take to get to your station on race day (Saturday, October 17th).

Timing Company Assistants

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Timing Company Assistants will help get day of registration participants into the system by running registrations from the staging area to the starting line.

This role involves walking/jogging a 0.4-mile round trip with a slight hill with forms as needed.

Day-Of Registration Check-In

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

At the Day-Of Registration Check-In Table, volunteers will check in participants who have NOT yet registered or paid for their event. Tasks include filling out Second Wind Forms (given to Timing Company Assistants), collecting payments and waivers, and distributing bibs and shirts (as available).

This role may require standing and bending.

At the Pre-Registration Check-In table, volunteers will check in participants who registered online. Tasks include checking participants in and distributing bibs and shirts (as available).

This role may involve standing and bending.

Parking Attendants

Details

Parking Attendants will guide participants to the correct parking area / street crossing for participants.

This role will involve standing and walking.

Post-Event Cleanup

Details

Volunteers will help clean remove signage and course markers from the race trails and help breakdown the trailfest staging area.

This role will involve standing, walking, and may include lifting.

Meet at Tech Etch (100 Riggenbach Road, Fall River, MA 02720). Volunteer activities will occur in the trailfest staging area (Tech Etch parking lot), Fall River Bioreserve, and small surrounding areas of Wilson and Riggenbach Roads.
