Set up and operate water stations along the course, distribute hydration to participants, and assist with station cleanup.

Location

Approx 3 miles from the start line on the C&O Canal Towpath. This one station will serve marathon runners at mile 3 and 23 and half marathon runners at mile 3 and 10). Accessible by car. Park on Keep Tryst Road in Weverton and cross tracks to Towpath.

On-Course Water Station Helpers / Marathon Post 2 - Near Lock 34 High Priority

Set up and operate water station along the course, distribute hydration to participants, and assist with station cleanup.

Location

Approx 6.5 miles from the start line on the C&O Canal Towpath. Near access road near Lock 34. Limited Parking. This one station will serve all runners in both directions.

On-Course Water Station Helpers / Marathon Post 3 - Dargen Bend Boat Ramp High Priority

Set up and operate water station along the course, distribute hydration to participants, and assist with station cleanup. Volunteers may break down this station and clean up after the final marathon runner. Half marathoners will not use this station. Must wait for confirmation that final runner has passed.

Location

C&O Canal Towpath at Dargan Bend. This station will serve marathon runners only - but in both directions. They will pass it twice. Easy parking at Dargen Bend Boat Ramp lot.

On-Course Water Station Helpers / Marathon Post 4 - 2643 Limekiln Rd High Priority

Set up and operate water station along the course, distribute hydration to participants, and assist with station cleanup. Volunteers may break down this station and clean up after the final marathon runner. Half marathoners will not use this station. Must wait for confirmation that final runner has passed.
