Fun Walk Course

Fun Walk Water Stop

Details

Fun Walk water stop located near Tudor Hall in Leonardtown, MD. Volunteers will distribute cups and bottles of water to the Fun Walk participants.

* Tables, water and supplies will be in place prior to the event.
* Supplies can be left at the site for pickup after the event by a coordinator.

The small parking lot near the entrance to Tudor Hall Circle in downtown Leonardtown

Help with tasks related to the Fun Walk course on the streets of Leonardtown on race day. These tasks include:

* Directing participants on the course
* Monitoring motor vehicle traffic on the course
* Ensuring the safety of participants

Volunteers will work under the direction of the Fun Walk course lead.

Packet Pickup - Friday

Packet Pickup General Volunteer

Details

Packet Pickup volunteers help with packet pickup inside the Leonard Hall Recreation Center on the Friday before the event. Volunteer tasks may include:

* Registering participants for the Fun Walk, 5K and 10K
* Processing Forms, taking payments and assisting participants with registering via a computer kiosk
* Handing out bibs and shirts to pre-registered participants
* Distributing shirts
* Assisting with set up for the event

Packet pickup hours are from 9 am to 5 pm. Volunteers are welcome to work shifts that accommodate their schedule during those hours.

Race Day - Inside

Breakdown Volunteers

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

Breakdown volunteers assist in breaking down tables and supplies on the race day inside the Leonard Hall Recreation Center.

This involves some lifting and moving items like tables, boxes of shirts, chairs, signs, etc.

Race Day Registration runs from 7 am to 8:30 am the day of the event. Breakdown begins immediately afterword.

Race Day General Volunteer - Inside

Details

Race Day volunteers help inside the Leonard Hall Recreation Center on the day of the event. Volunteers may be assigned to one of the following tasks by the volunteer coordinator:

* General Information
* Walker Registration
* Runner Registration
* Pre-Registration
* Shirt Helper
* Memory Bib Station
* Memory Wall
* Breakdown Volunteer

Race Day Registration runs from 7 am to 8:30 am the day of the event.

Race Day - Outside

Parking Volunteer

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Parking volunteers direct participants to parking spaces on the grounds of the Governmental Center in Leonardtown on the day of the event. They help organize and manage traffic flow and help ensure the safety of participants.

Parking volunteers will be directed by the Parking Lead.

Details

Clean Up volunteers help clean up the event area after the race. This involves moving tables, picking up trash and helping with tents, recyclable materials and other items.
