Details

Drive to one of several specified locations along the bike route to encourage cyclists, indicate turns or hazards, and call for assistance if requested by a participant. Safety vest provided. Must be able to drive or arrange to get a ride.

Details

For experienced kayakers with access to a kayak, preferably a stable sea kayak. These volunteers position themselves around the perimeter of the 400-yard swim course off of Pemaquid Beach, keeping an eye out for swimmers who may be struggling. Some swimmers appreciate being able to grab hold of the bow to rest for a moment during the race, but if any additional support is needed, there will be 1-2 motorboats and 2 lifeguards standing by. PFD required.

Details

Under the direction of the swim coordinator, help direct athletes and spectators on the beach. Assist with lining up and starting swimmers, and ensure there is a clear path to the transition area when they exit the water.
