Overview:
Packet Pick-Up volunteers play a key role in creating a smooth and welcoming pre-race experience. You’ll help participants check in, receive their race materials, and get excited for race day.

Responsibilities:
- Greet participants with a friendly, positive attitude
- Locate runners in the registration system
- Distribute race packets (bib numbers, safety pins, shirts, and any additional materials)
- Verify participant information (name, race distance, shirt size)
- Assist with same-day or late registrations
- Answer basic event questions (race start times, parking, course info, etc.)
- Help keep the packet pick-up area organized and running efficiently

What to Expect:
- Periods of high activity
- Standing for extended periods
- Working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

What to Bring/Wear:
- Comfortable clothing and shoes
- Weather-appropriate attire - this is a rain or shine event
- Your enthusiasm and willingness to help

Course Marshall/Aid Station High Priority

You must be 12 or older to volunteer for this task.

Overview:
Course Marshal and Aid Station volunteers are essential to creating a safe, supportive, and enjoyable race experience. You’ll help guide runners along the course, provide encouragement, and ensure participants stay on the correct route while offering hydration and support where needed.

Responsibilities:
- Direct runners along the course and ensure they stay on the correct route
- Monitor intersections and help keep runners safe from traffic or hazards
- Cheer on participants and create a positive, high-energy atmosphere
- Communicate with race staff if any issues or emergencies arise

Aid Stations:
- Set up and manage aid stations (water, cups, basic supplies)
- Hand out water to runners efficiently and safely
- Help keep aid station areas clean and organized (trash, cup collection)
- Stay at your assigned post until the sweep team or race staff releases you

What to Expect:
- Being stationed outdoors for the duration of your shift
- Standing for extended periods
- Interacting with runners of all abilities and paces
- A fun, energetic environment where your encouragement makes a difference

- Sunscreen, hat, or rain gear as needed

Kids K Helper Medium Priority

Details

Overview:
Kids K Helpers create a fun, safe, and encouraging environment for our youngest runners. You’ll help manage the flow of the event, keep kids organized, and make sure every participant has a positive and memorable race experience.

Responsibilities:
- Help organize kids at the start line by age group or instructions from race staff
- Assist with lining up participants and maintaining a safe start area
- Cheer on and encourage kids throughout the race
- Guide runners along the Kids K course to ensure they stay on route
- Assist at the finish line (directing kids and handing out finisher gifts)
- Help reunite children with parents/guardians if needed
- Answer basic event questions for parents and participants
- Communicate any concerns or issues to race staff

What to Expect:
- A high-energy, fun environment with lots of excited kids
- Assisting with crowd management at the start and finish
- Standing and moving around throughout your shift
- Working closely with other volunteers and race staff

- Comfortable clothing and shoes
- Weather-appropriate attire — this is a rain or shine event
- A positive attitude and lots of energy
- Your enthusiasm and willingness to help
