Monitors will oversee the safety of bicyclists as they travel along the course during the ride. Traffic monitors need to be aware that the event will have partial road closures. Traffic monitors will be responsible for supporting the partial course closure to motorized vehicles by alerting motorists of bicyclists, pedestrians, and any potential hazards. Participants are responsible for obeying all traffic laws. Law enforcement and officials will be onsite to further assist with the flow of traffic and safety.
*PLEASE NOTE: Flint Cycle Fest will have partial closures with law enforcement disbursed throughout. Once all participants have passed your designated location and law enforcement have deemed this portion of the course as “all clear/complete,” the traffic monitor is welcome to take part in festivities at the post-ride festival at Carriage Town Plaza or volunteer his/her services elsewhere. Please speak with the nearest Crim staff member to inquire about additional volunteer opportunities during the day of the event.
