Details

Packet Pick Up Volunteers will assist in the setup and tear down of the registration area as well with the check in process of each cyclist. Cyclist check in will consist of handing out rider packets, numbers, and t-shirts, and assisting cyclists with any questions they may have about the ride.

Bike Valet

Details

Bike Valets will be working with the Bike Valet Coordinator to manage the bike valet operation and safeguarding bikes throughout the event. Volunteers will tag each bike with a two-piece tag and store bike in valet area. Volunteers will also maintain a secure and clean bike valet area.

Start Line

Details

Start Line Volunteers will assist in the setting up of fencing, set up of timing strips as needed, the hanging of start line signage, and help as sign holders for the start of the ride. Volunteers will also help get cyclists lined up for the start of each ride.

40/80 Mile Rest Stop

Details

The 40/80 mile rest stop is located at the Lamont Community Park, 13241-13299 Mill St S, Coopersville, MI 49404. Must have own transportation. Volunteers will be assisting the participants riding the 40/80  mile route for the Gran Fondo. Volunteer duties will include: set-up of the stop, greet and assist cyclists as they arrive, distribute snacks and water, help cyclists and spectators with course information, help to direct traffic flow, at the rest area.

Family Ride Rest Stop

Details

The 12 mile rest stop is located at the Kent TrailsNorth Trailhead on the corner of O'Brien Rd and Butterworth Drive. Must have own transportation. Volunteers will be assisting the participants riding the 12 mile route for the Grand Rapids GF. Volunteer duties will include: setup of the stop, greet and assist cyclists as they arrive, distribute snacks and water, help cyclists and spectators with course information, help to direct traffic flow, at the rest area.

25 Mile Rest Stop

Details

The 25 mile rest stop is located at the Foot and Ankle Specialists, 1195 Wilson Ave, Walker, MI 49534.Must have own transportation. Volunteers will be assisting the participants riding the 25 mile route for the Gran Fondo. Volunteer duties will include: setup of the stop, greet and assist cyclists as they arrive, distribute snacks and water, help cyclists and spectators with course information, help to direct traffic flow, at the rest area.

80 Mile Rest Stop #1

The 80 mile rest stop is located at the Coast Guard Park - 18161 N Shore Rd, Spring Lake, MI 49456. Must have own transportation. Volunteers will be assisting the participants riding the 80 mile route participants for the Gran Fondo. Volunteer duties will include: setup of the stop, greet and assist cyclists as they arrive, distribute snacks and water, help cyclists and spectators with course information, help to direct traffic flow, at the rest area.

80 Mile Rest Stop #2

The 80 mile rest stop is located at the Grace Lutheran Church, 300 Cleveland St E, Coopersville, MI 49404.  Must have own transportation. Volunteers will be assisting the participants riding the 80 mile route participants for the Gran Fondo. Volunteer duties will include: setup of the stop, greet and assist cyclists as they arrive, distribute snacks and water, help cyclists and spectators with course information, help to direct traffic flow, at the rest area.

Festival Support

Details

As a festival support volunteer you will be assigned to assist as needed at the Finish Line Festival. Duties may include assisting Gilmore staff at food stations, help direct riders, light clean up duty to keep the space clean for riders, etc.

Finish Line Festival

Details

Volunteers will act as Course Marshals for the finish line area. Responsibilities will include ensuring the safety of the Gran Fondo participants and spectators by keeping guests off of the course and helping to direct riders. Finish Line Volunteers will also help in the process of distributing medals to riders at specific locations around the finish line area.

Ticket Table Sales

You must be 21 or older to volunteer for this task.

Ticket Table Sale volunteers will assist in the setup and tear down of ticket tables located at the Finish Line Festival. Responsibilities will also include the sale of food and beverage tickets to participants and guests.

Beverage Station Barback - Finish Line F

You must be 21 or older to volunteer for this task.

Beverage Station Barbacks will assist in the setup and tear down of beverage stations located at the Finish Line Festival. Barbacks will help restock beverages, ice, cups, and assist bartenders as needed.

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Food Station Servers will assist in the setup and tear down of food stations located at the Finish Line Festival. Servers will restock food as needed, serve food to participants and guests, and assist the chefs as needed.

Food Station Ticket Takers will assist in the setup and tear down of food stations located at the Finish Line Festival. Ticket Takers will check the wristbands of participants and guests, collect food tickets, and assist the chefs and servers as needed.

Tear Down & Support

Details

Tear Down and Support Volunteers will work to assist in the tear down of the Finish Line Festival. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the tear down of festival fencing, staging, signage, and tents, the clean up of beverage and food stations, trash removal, and floating to other volunteer positions and stations as needed.

As a Course Marshal your number one responsibility is to ensure that cyclists have a safe ride. As this specific location at Maynard and Millennium Park trailhead - you will make sure no cyclist enter the trail at this location. They will need to continue straight on Maynard to the end and turn left into Kent Trails. Must have own transportation.

Course Marshall - Butterworth & Wealthy - Trailhead

As a Course Marshal your number one responsibility is to ensure that cyclists have a safe ride. At this location the course marshal will ensure that all cyclist are stopping when they are exiting the Trailhead at Wealthy St W and Garfield Ave SW,  before turning left onto the road Butterworth St SW.  Must have own transportation.
