2022 ICCS Turkey Trot

Direct traffic to ensure parking is maximized, direct participants to west door, direct traffic to Heritage Church parking if CRC parking full. PLEASE TAKE A SAFETY VEST AT EVENT

When race starts need to make sure no one is pulling across race path until clear. Once Gobbler Gallop begins traffic must enter on north drive. PLEASE TAKE A SAFETY VEST AT THE EVENT.

Provide transportation to those participants that may need a ride back to the church

Along course, suggest starting from 1/2 point at high school parking lot and following participants back from there. Can drive along roads and look for straggler's as well.

Run information for both races and results (5K only) to post in fellowship hall for finishers to view. 1 person needed from 9:30 to 11:00 am (10:20 to 11:00 am would be majority of possible back and forth time).

Announce names of finishers as they come across the finish line of the 5K. This gives the participant a feeling that they are important to our race 1 person needed 10:15 to 11:20 am

Provide mp3 device with Christian based music (high beat) to timer for race. 1 person needed. 8:45 am have music ready for timer. Pick up when last person crosses line 11:15/11:20?

6 photographers with digital cameras from 8:30 to 11:00 am. Please bring camera to Race Director for download at the end of the race awards.

Will be assigned at the following locations. Start/finish area, high school turn around, Dan Dr/5th St, Trail head/5th St., inside church/awards, I Gobbled My Time sign

Hand out items to kids and street corner personnel to cheer on participants at start/finish and along course. Select kids to hand out finisher medals for both Gobbler Gallop and Turkey Trot. Collect up cheering items at the end of the day.

Participant guidance along the course. Encourage, cheer, and direct participants out to the turn around and back to the church. Assist with traffic at intersections to allow participants to go through. Take a sign and cheering equipment with you. PLEASE TAKE A SAFETY VEST AT THE EVENT.

Work sign in table, distribute race bags, sign up for shirts, race day sign up table coverage. 6 people needed 8:00 am to 11:00 am.

Inside fellowship hall

Follow church clean up guide (vacuum, bathrooms, glass doors, kitchen, nursery) 11:00 am to 12 noon. 4 people needed. Start cleaning in bathrooms and hallways until awards done, follow up with fellowship hall.

Inside church. Focus on bathrooms, vacuuming the fellowship hall, ensure nursery looks neat, and wipe down glass doors on west side (check south side but we will try to direct participants away from using those doors)

In case parents who are working need someone to watch children (8 am to 12 Noon) can split into 2/2 hour shifts as this is a family friendly event.

Place food/drink in baskets. Place all food and drink out on designated table in the fellowship hall at the start of the Turkey Trot (10:00 am) 1 person needed. Ensure no mess left behind in kitchen.

Friday night get tables and decorations and set up. Man packet pick up table for those who are preregistered and want to sign in. 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Be at the entry doors and let people know where to go until start of race.

Set up box and deliver food to St. Paul's Lutheran Church after race (box needs to be at registration by 8 am) Return box to Race Director for reuse next year.

Fellowship hall and St. Paul's Lutheran Church. They serve meals on Monday's and Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:30 so this may be a good time to drop off food.

Clean up ribbons, signage, cups etc. Make sure course and grounds are clean and left better than found
