Directional Volunteers

You must be 16-70 years old to volunteer for this task.

At least 30 more volunteers needed.

Details

There will be a volunteer meeting at 6:30 a.m. at the flag pole in front of the Portland High School. The volunteers must be in place by 7:15 a.m. as the race begins at 7:30 a.m. Most of the positions will need to be available until the end of the race (estimated finish time is noon). Someone from the race committee will dismiss you from your duties. You will be directing runners on the course or offering water/snacks at the aid stations. A map will be available at the volunteer meeting with the volunteer locations on it. Locations #10 through #19 are only passed by runners one time. As well as Aid Stations #3, 4 and 5. The runners will pass the other locations at the beginning and the end of the race.

Location#11 At trail between ADM/Golden Bridge Manor/Railroad Bridge - 1
Location#12 Gate on trail at Rowe Ave. - 1 - 2
Location#13 First turn at the top of Rindlehaven - 1 - 2
Location#14 At the Cul De Sac at Rindlehaven - 1
Location#15 Gate at trail by Oakwood School/Okemos Rd. - 1
Location#16 Top of parking lot at Oakwood School - 1
Location#17 Crossing at Kent Street - 1
Location#18 Before Bridge St bridge - 1
Location#19 Gate at end of Frosty Boy Parking Lot - 1

There will be a volunteer meeting at 6:00 a.m. at the flag pole in front of the Portland High School. The volunteers must be in place by 6:45 a.m. as the race begins at 7:00 a.m. Most of the positions will need to be available until the end of the race (estimated finish time is noon). Someone from the race committee will dismiss you from your duties. You will be directing runners on the course.
