Packet Pickup - Day Before Race

Details

We need volunteers to help hand out race packets on the day before the race. Volunteer responsibilities include:
* Sorting race shirts
* Locating participants race registration & bib
* Verifying the accuracy of race participant's information (name, age, shirt size, etc.)
* Answering questions about the race

Gear Check - Check In

Details

Gear check volunteers will receive and watch over race participant's personal belongings during the race. Volunteers should clearly mark bags with the racer's bib number and store it in a secure location at the registration tent.

Start Line Monitors

August 9, 2025

Details

Volunteers at the start line will keep racers informed of where to line up and when the start will begin. Start line monitors will encourage racers to line up by speed.

Water Station - Mile 1 (A)

August 9, 2025

Details

Volunteers at the water station will help set up their table and supplies. Water should be poured into the cups prior to the start of the race so that volunteers can quickly pass out water as the racers pass by. Racers will throw their cups on the ground so volunteers will pick up the garbage and place it in garbage bags. Festival volunteers will come by after the last racer passes by to pick up your garbage, table and any left over water.

Course Monitors

Course monitors are needed throughout the course to make sure that walkers (wearing yellow bibs) are not running, that racers go the correct direction, and that race participants do not take shortcuts on the course.

Prefer to have a volunteer who is familiar with the race course and has a truck. Please keep safety as your top priority while performing this task. Truck driver must be at least 18 years of age.

Gear Check Relocation and Pick Up

August 9, 2025

Details

Gear check volunteers will move the race participant's personal belongings from the gear check - check in at the Race Check In Tent, to the Gear Check Pick Up location next to the food tent by the finish line at the marina. Volunteers will keep all race participants personal belongings secure during the race. All bags will be marked with the the racer's bib number and the racer must have their bib or ID to pick up gear check bag.

Registration Tent Set Up

Details

Volunteers are needed the morning of the race to help set up the race packet pick up location to have it ready by 6:15am.

Details

Volunteers needed to pack up the registration tent and finish line and take all items to the swag mobile located at the Huron Street Pavilion. A truck or larger SUV will be needed for transporting of items.

Volunteers are needed to bring food, water and other items needed from the refrigerated truck located at the Huron Street Pavilion to the food tent location at the Marina.

Finish Line Monitors

August 9, 2025

Details

Volunteers are needed to set up water bucket with rags to hand racers, cheer and encourage the racers as they cross the finish line. Clean up the finish line and dispose of rags at the end of the race.
