Details

Work in the stadium area. Assist in timekeeping. Arrange skiers in start area. Assist finishers, collect bibs and chips. Assist in setting up and managing race equipment in the start and finish lines. Outside work so dress accordingly. On each day there is a morning and afternoon shift. Please consider signing up for both.

Help keep the JNs Green! Help spectators and participants reduce waste. Monitor recycling, compost, and trash. Direct people to proper disposal and make sure containers are serviced and working for users.

Details

Staff Junior Nationals Merchandise booth.
Provide customer service and merchandise sales via the Trailhead Ticket Booth window.
Ring up sales on an iPad point of sale system, help customers with sizing
Familiarity with using a point of sale system is a plus but not required.
Basic training provided before booth hours open.
Dress warmly. Ticket booth is inside, but the customer facing window is open to the outdoors.

Details

Provide on site medical assistance and triage on the course, start/finish areas and general venue. Medical volunteers are approved and scheduled by the Loppet Medical Director. A range of medical training and backgrounds are acceptable and helpful including MD, RN, EMT, AT, Residents and ski/bike patrols. Please answer the medical question during volunteer signup.

Medical Snowmobile Driver

Details

'The medical snowmobile driver position is important, but activation is contingent on an emergency on the course. During a normal shift the driver can do other things ranging from watching the races to helping a team, to reading a book. However, they must continuously monitor a supplied radio, and in case of emergency, must respond immediately with the snowmobile to the medical team and serve their needs as a driver, for the duration of the emergency.
Other duties include picking up the snowmobile from Loppet staff at the start of the day and returning it at the end of the day. Knowledge of Theodore Wirth ski trails is a plus.

Technique Control-Turning Zone

Details

Workers will video ski technique of competitiors as they move from a Turning Zone section of the course back into a tracked diagonal section of course. If skiers use skate technique past the Turning Zone video will be sent to the Race Jury. Position requires cellular iPad or phone capable of recording video and sending video via the "WhatsApp" App to the Race Jury.
