Support and assist in set-up of course fencing, start area, finish line and operational needs. Work in the stadium area. This is physical and active work, requiring lifting and carrying. Outside work so dress accordingly

Access Control/Course Marshal

Details

Workers will be stationed at various locations around the venue to control access into accredited areas and to direct spectators at other parts of the venue ensuring they are not on or crossing the trail.

Medical

Details

Provide medical assistance on the course and start/finish areas. Medical volunteers are approved and scheduled by the Loppet Medical Director. A range of medical training and backgrounds are acceptable and helpful including MD, RN, EMT, AT, Residents and ski/bike patrols. Please answer the medical question during volunteer signup.

Medical Snowmobile Driver

Details

'The medical snowmobile driver position is important, but activation is contingent on an emergency on the course. During a normal shift the driver can do other things ranging from watching the races to helping a team, to reading a book. However, they must continuously monitor a supplied radio, and in case of emergency, must respond immediately with the snowmobile to the medical team and serve their needs as a driver, for the duration of the emergency.
Other duties include picking up the snowmobile from Loppet staff at the start of the day and returning it at the end of the day. Knowledge of Theodore Wirth ski trails is a plus.

Details

Announce finishers as they cross the line, provide instruction to participants in the stadium, sponsor statements. Staff will prepare script and notes. Experience and comfort on a microphone and audio equipment is necessary. Shift times wiIl be finalized when the final competition schedule is set.
