Course Marking

At least 7 more volunteers needed.

Details

Requires knowledge of Wirth Park trails, course review meeting with race director, and knowledge of Loppet marking systems. Mark course (arrows, wrong way signs, other signage, etc) the day before the race. Time for marking is flexible and TBD by the course marking team. If you are interested in joining the Loppet Course Marking team, please contact Kelly Donahue, donahue@loppet.org. Time TBD on Friday, September 13 or Saturday, September 14.

Provide medical assistance on the course and start/finish areas. Medical volunteers are approved and scheduled by the Loppet Medical Director. A range of medical training and backgrounds are acceptable and helpful including MD, RN, EMT, AT, Residents and ski/bike patrols. Please answer the medical question during volunteer signup.

Field Day Activities (LNR/Team Birkie Saturday Field Day)

Capture the event through your lens! The goal of the photographer is to get photos of as many participants as possible. You can use any device you may have as we do not have one to provide. After the event, submit pictures to the marketing team for Loppet Foundation use. Please note photos are shared on RunnerTag for participants to download for free. All photos used for marketing will be credited.

Announcer

Announce finishers as they cross the line, provide instruction to participants in the park, sponsor statements. Staff will prepare script and notes. Experience and comfort on a microphone and audio equipment is a plus. This task utilizes a password. Please contact events@loppet.org if you are interested in announcing at Loppet events.
