Bag Claim High Priority

Help unload participant gear drop bags, and sort them by number. Monitor the bag drop area and retrieve participant bags as participants come to the claim area.

Course Marking

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Details

Requires knowledge of Wirth Park trails, course review meeting with race director, and knowledge of Loppet marking systems. Mark course (arrows, wrong way signs, other signage, etc) the day before the race. Time for marking is flexible and TBD by the course marking team. If you are interested in joining the Loppet Course Marking team, please contact Kelly Donahue, donahue@loppet.org. Time TBD on Friday, September 13 or Saturday, September 14.

Requires knowledge of Wirth Park trails, Loppet marking system and meeting with Race Director to review courses before race day. Check the courses to ensure that markings are still in place and clear. Repair or add markings as needed.

Stadium 18 Fluid Station (hosted by Missing Link Run Club)

Course Sweep- 5K

Run/walk behind the final participant to provide encouragement, inform course marshals, medical and finish line volunteers when the final participant has finished. Review role with Lead Sweep or Race Director prior to event.

Provide medical assistance on the course and start/finish areas. Medical volunteers are approved and scheduled by the Loppet Medical Director. A range of medical training and backgrounds are acceptable and helpful including MD, RN, EMT, AT, Residents and ski/bike patrols. Please answer the medical question during volunteer signup.

Capture the event through your lens! The goal of the photographer is to get photos of as many participants as possible. You can use any device you may have as we do not have one to provide. After the event, submit pictures to the marketing team for Loppet Foundation use. Please note photos are shared on RunnerTag for participants to download for free. All photos used for marketing will be credited.

Finish Crew High Priority

Think of yourself as a roving photographer. Capture short (5-10 second) video clips of participants prepping for the event, candid moments, start and finish line, etc. Within 48 hours of the event, upload your content into the Dropbox folder we provide to you.
