Course guards ensure the safety of runners by preventing traffic from entering the course and cheering on runners.
Check in between 6:00 am and 6:15 am to get a safety vest (stop sign in particular positions) and specific instructions. Travel to your guard position and secure your spot by 6:30 am. (Racers hit the course by 6:45 am)
Your instructions will include mapped details of your intersection: where you should stand, the direction runners will be moving, etc.
When finished, return to the check-in area to turn in your vest and stop sign. Collect your SCHEELS coupon, a snack, and our thanks!
Call 911 for emergencies. For non-emergencies, contact the volunteer coordinator.
