Accounting Assistant

You must be 21-99 years old to volunteer for this task.

Details

- Assist as a money runner of cash for change at ticket windows, to raffle ticket sellers, or to merchandise selling table and returning collected money or receipts to the cash office for reconciliation.

- Assist with coordination of sales of merchandise, raffle tickets and potentially tip jars.

- Assist as a wrist band runner to front gate ticket scanners and wrist banders and return collected physical tickets to the cash office for reconciliation.

- Assist with counting and securing deposits.

- Final shift must be willing to stay until at least 11 pm.

- Final shifts will be assisting with money counting and running counting machine and banding and recording counted monies.

- All shifts will be assisting in verifications of amounts and signing off on those verifications throughout the shift.

- Will report to Volunteer Lead Accountant.

Beer Competition Assistant High Priority

Details

THIS POSITION REQUIRES CURRENT RESPONSIBLE ALCOHOL SALES & SERVICE (RASS) CERTIFICATION.

- Will be pouring beer for competition judges.

- Will be taking notes for judges and competition coordinator.

- Will be assisting the competition coordinator as needed.

- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.

- Will be assisting with the setup of and cleaning up of the building area used, and ensuring garbage bags are taken to the roll off dumpster as needed.

- Helping to unpackage and repackage beverages and return beverages or packaging to appropriate brewer as needed.

RASS CERTIFICATION TRAINING - Local in person training organized by TrailNet happens 2 times this year and will be $15 per person - must attend a training or an on-line course prior to August 21st and provide evidence of training completion if valid certificate is not on record with Billings TrailNet.

Beer Judge

Details

- Will answer questions about the event, Billings TrailNet, and current relative trail projects for guests.

- Will help sign up new members by collecting contact information and payment for membership. (1 raffle ticket purchase = individual membership for $20 - $15 savings!!)

- Will help sign up guests for emails (newsletter, events, volunteering, Friends of Stagecoach, etc) of their interest by collecting contact information.

- May be asked to sell merchandise for Ales for Trails as available.

- May sell raffle and 50/50 tickets until 8:00 pm, collecting all contact information necessary and payment.

- May distribute raffle prizes to winning guest after verification and signature of winner obtained if requested by volunteer lead.

Raffle Sellers

You must be 21-99 years old to volunteer for this task.

Details

- Will sell raffle and/or 50/50 tickets to guests.

- Will collect guests information for ticket purchase and provide guests with their portion of ticket for drawing.

- Will process transactions for ticket sales in cash or digital format.

- Will be responsible for turning in all sold ticket stubs for drawing at time sales close. (8:00 PM)

- Will work as a pair at all times during shifts.

- Must be comfortable processing payments digitally and have a fully charged cell phone with cellular data plan available because the zoo does not provide wi-fi in the venue for use during events.

- Must be able to count back change accurately without a calculator.

- Will be responsible for signing off for cash provided for sales transactions and tickets provided for sale.

- Will circulate in both the VIP area and the main event area.

- Must be willing to work both areas throughout the shift. No pair will only work in one area.

- Ticket sale signs will be provided to hold while circulating for visibility to guests.

- Aprons with pockets will be provided to assist with items being carried in the crowd.

- Will report to volunteer lead.
