Packet pickup volunteers will assist participants in picking up their race packets which will include their race bibs, glow bracelet, necklace and glasses. They will answer participant questions regarding start time/location, activities surrounding the race, etc.

Course Setup

Details

Course setup volunteers will be responsible for setting up glow zones, putting up course markings and signage along the course. These volunteers will also serve as "security" while out on the course to ensure zones, markings and signage are not vandalized or stolen.

Location

Volunteers will check in at Ghallager Business building and be directed to University of Montana, Kim Williams Trail or Caras Park.

Staging Area Setup

Details

Staging area volunteers will help setup start/finish area at Caras Park. This includes setting up tents, tables and chairs, merchandise area, volunteer check-in area, race day registration area, lighting, etc.

Race Day Pre-Registration Packet Pickup

Race Day Pre-Registration volunteers will check in participants who pre-registered and issue their race bibs and packets

Merchandise Sales

Volunteers will be responsible for selling merchandise including t-shirts, glasses, necklaces, bracelets, foam wands, socks, tutus and more!

Gear Check

Details

Volunteers will assist participants in checking in their personal gear. Volunteers will label gear with participant bib number and place in bins according to number. Once race is complete, volunteers will return gear to participants.

Course Marshal

October 7, 2016

Details

Course Marshal volunteers will be placed at every Glow Zone to assist with directions, questions, emergencies or injuries. They will also be placed in low-lit or unmarked areas to assist runners through course.

Location

Caras Park. Once all marshals are checked in, they will be taken to their location on the course. Please let us know if you have any limitations on where you can be placed.

Post-Race Course Sweep

Details

Volunteers will be responsible for following the last participant and communicate by radio when that participant has reached each zone. This communicates to race coordinators that all participants are accounted for and course tear down may begin.
