Check in with task coordinator between 7:30 and 8:15 so you can be at your location by 9am. You will receive a vest and stop sign. Done about 10:15 or 10:30. (After the street mile race.) At that time return to base and turn in vest and sign at the awards table and collect your shirt, a snack and our thanks.

Location

On 2nd and 3rd, between Division and 28th. Course guards on these streets need to stay and guard for the 2nd race which is street mile that starts at 10am and ends shortly after.

Day of Race Course Guard - Clark Avenue

Check in with task coordinator between 7:30 and 8:15 so you can be at your location by 9am. You will receive a vest and stop sign. Course sweeper will come through after last people pass. You may be asked to walk over to Yellowstone and help support that intersection. When the sweep comes through on Yellowstone, you are done. Should be done by 10am. At that time return to base and turn in vest and sign at the awards table and collect your shirt, a snack and our thanks.

Packet Pickup Volunteer

If you do check in process using your own smart phone, we will have a guest wifi password so you aren't using your data plan

Announcer's Assistant & Awards Table

Arrive about 8am and assist the announcer. You may be going back and forth from the timer tent getting results information. The awards table is nearby, assist participants who want to pick up their award.

Food Table Host

Hosted food table. Help set out the food, then serve muffins and rolls, keep cups available for hot drinks.. Time commitment is 8:45am to 10:15am

Course Set Up

Starts at 7am, assist team leader/driver in setting out road barriers and traffic cones/candles. Takes about an hour.

Course Tear Down

Start about 10:15am, assist team leader/driver in moving road barriers off roadway, picking up traffic cones/candles. Takes about an hour.

Details

Using a vehicle with your flashers on, you will 'sweep' the 5k course, following the last participants as far as Yellowstone and Division. At which time you wait, then follow the Street Mile.

Location

Starts at 9am, follow last participants in 5k. When you reach Clark Ave, as you pass course guards you can take their vest and sign and let them know they can head back and grab snacks. You will follow around to Yellowstone and Division. Also letting the guards on Yellowstone know they are finished. By that time it is nearly 10am and the Street Mile is starting. Wait at Division for all the Milers to pass, then follow the last miler on 3rd, heading east to 28th St, then west on 2nd as they head to the finish.

Using your phone or camera, be willing to shoot photos for our historical record.

Location

At least two locations if we have more than one volunteer. Finish line; and at 7th where participants turn and head back.

Guide finishers around the Credit Union building so they can pick up a finisher glass if they want one. Keep finishers from cutting through onto 31st St.
