Out of the Ashes 5k

We will have tables throughout the route with lanterns for participants to write names on and candles to light. You will just be there to oversee and make sure supplies remain stocked. You will also break down table and load up on golf cart as last walkers pass by.

We will have water bottles at the 3rd trimester loss table, rather than cups to fill. You will just need to make sure table is stocked. Runners will pick up their own bottles along the way.

Set up interactive tables for 3k walk. Items to include on each table:

The third trimester loss table will be larger and will include a water stop. Waters will need to be set up on table and extras in cooler.

Route map provided with markers showing where tables will go. Please ensure that tables are either on the sidewalk or as far to the side of the road as possible to avoid neighborhood traffic issues.

1. Set up tables for our sponsors. Each table sponsor will provide their own tablecloth, but tables need to be assembled and organized in a manner that makes sense behind the church.
2. The LEEDS table will be handing out beer. Coolers of beer to be placed at their table.
3. Set up snack and water table with items provided. Make sure snacks are organized and easy to grab.

2. 2 tents to shelter the tables.
3. "REGISTRATION" banner and string to hang across top front of tents.

We will have someone going back and forth from the mile-marker tables to collect lanterns with names on them. These volunteers will arrange the lanterns to have them all set up for releasing them at the end of the race.

This volunteer will need a bike – you will ride back and forth to the tables throughout the route to collect lanterns that have names on them and take them to the volunteers in charge of assembling them while the race is going on.

These volunteers are responsible for checking in all registrants, making sure they have paid, registering same-day participants, and handing out packets (t-shirts, bibs and swag from sponsors).

There are many turns throughout the course, and we will need volunteers to help make sure the runners are going the right way. These people will also cheer runners on!

1. Break down and load up all sponsor tables in proper vehicle(s)
2. Break down and load up concession table and items– organize and store any leftovers in vehicle(s)

3. Take down and roll up registration banner
4. Make sure laptops, money box and leftover items (t-shirts and other supplies) are in boxes and loaded in vehicles

We will have snacks provided by a sponsor as well as sandwiches provided by Chick Fila Albemarle Road. We need someone to pick up the Chick Fila before or during the race and 2 people to man the table.

Direct traffic to parking area and make sure participants are parked in proper rows at East Meck High School and directed to registration tent.
