These volunteers will be at spots along the race pointing the way for the runners and cheering them on and handing out water. 2 people per spot.

Location

McAlpine Creek Park - Race day. Arrive at 6:00AM so that you can get paired up with another person and get your place along the race path.

Packet Pickup - Race Day High Priority

Details

People who registered for the Race or Walk will receive a bag with their cape, mask and other giveaways from sponsors. Runners additionally will receive a numbered bib specifically assigned to them. The job is to greet the people as they come up, check off their name, hand out their packet and race bib.

McAlpine Creek Park - Race day. Arrive at 6:00AM to get tables set up and oriented on procedure.

Race medal hand out at finish line High Priority

Details

The race starts at 8AM. The fastest runners will arrive at the finish line in about 20 minutes and the last will be in the 40 minute range. Volunteers in this role will be at the finish line handing out medals to any runners (with a numbered bib only) just past the finish line

This task involves setup at the race site the day before the race in the afternoon. This involves posting signs and arrows along the race path, setting up banners etc.

Details

This involves setup on race day. Some tasks involve carrying water, tables, and other moderately heavy items, setting up banners, tables, signs

Water and snack hand out at finish line High Priority

Details

As people finish the race, they will be looking for food and drinks which are common at races. The position would be managing the tables with water and snacks so that runners can grab them after they finish the race.

Pre-Race day Packet Pickup

Details

The day before the race we will have a packet pickup for those who want to get their cape, mask and numbered bib (race runners only). We need a few people to be at a location TBD the day before the race in the afternoon until about 6pm to check in registrants and hand out packets
