Holly Grove 5K Fun Run/Walk Volunteer

You must be 14 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Provide run sign up registrations
Keep tally of forms
Purchase medals and snacks
Delegate tasks to volunteers
Provide assistance for run/walk
Print number bibs
Organize and delegate fun run
Keep pastor and race coordinator posted and updated on run events

Registration/Snacks

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Provide assistance with registration online/day of fun run
Get payment and signed waiver form.
Provide assistance to visitors. Be cordial and informative about steps for the day.
Let visitors know of restrooms and water fountain / coolers
Set up first aid station and recruit a volunteer for the fun run
Set up tables, chairs for other volunteers
Provide pens or pencils, as well as registration forms or online registration assistance
Set up signs for runners (by divisions)
Get a volunteer to provide the t-shirts to runners.
When done with registration send runners to get shirt and number.
Clean up area putting tables, chairs and items away.
Provide encouragement and snacks/water to runners as they return.

Race Coordinator

Details

Set up snack areas.
Provide counter for runners.
Assist in determining winners for each category
Assign tasks to race volunteers
Designate the host of the run. Make announcements & winners
Get traffic cones ready for route placement. Police will ask if you have any.
Provide water tables/areas for runners during race
Know who and where is/are the first responders.
Provide two-way radios or a form of communication with other volunteers to inform on race
Provide winners of each division/category
