Volunteer Table/First Aid Station Medium Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Minimum met, 1 volunteer spot remaining.

Details

Monitor the volunteer station. Let us know if any of the food is low or if any of the volunteers need anything. This task also includes helping set up the race course beforehand. And monitor the first aid station. Need 2-3 volunteers for this and must be available from 6am-10am.

Race Course Turn Monitor High Priority

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 17 more volunteers needed.

Details

Stand at the assigned corner of the race and direct racers in the correct direction so no one gets lost. CHEER them on and encourage them to keep going. Make sure they are doing okay and don't need any first aid. Contact coordinator in case of emergency or in need of assistance. We need at least 20 volunteers for this task as there are many turns in the course. Must be available from 7am-10am.

Finish Line Cheerleaders Medium Priority

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Details

Nobody likes to get to the end of a race with no one to cheer for them. Your task is to stand at the end of the course and encourage them to hurry to the finish line or to stand behind the finish line and cheer that they finished the race whether you know that person or not. Everyone needs to cheered at the end of the race. Give high fives, congratulate them, any form of encouragement you can think to give would be awesome and much appreciated. We would like at least 5 volunteers for this task but the more the merrier! Must be available from 8am-10am.

Shoe Tag collector High Priority

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

You will be located at the finish line and your task is to collect shoe timers from the timed 5k racers. Not everyone will have them, but collect all that you can from the racers being timed. Return all shoe timers to either the race coordinator at the registration table or to the Run The East timing team. We would like at least 3 volunteers for this task. You will need to be available from 8am-10am or until all timed racers are done.

Clean up Crew High Priority

At least 5 more volunteers needed.

Details

This task is for helping to clean up the parking lot and to make sure that the race course is free of any trash left behind by runners and to collect any equipment that is left behind such as cones or directional items. Then later after the carnival is over, we would like you to help vendors pack up, help them carry items and/or boxes to their cars, and pick up any trash that may be left behind from guests. We need at least 5-10 volunteers to do this task. Must be available at 9am-11am and from 130pm-330pm.
