Details

1. Assist in setting up packet pick up table (note that this is at the end of the race - runners get their packets as they leave the race because of COVID changes).
2. Meet with a Junction 311 worker
3. Greet each runner with a smile
4. They should be wearing their bib, as they have just finished racing.
5. Look up bib number on list - confirm name matches person.
6. Call out t-shirt size (no swapping until after all waves are finished racing) so volunteer can hand them a shirt.
7. If there is a question you can’t answer, get a Junction 311 Team Member
8. Smile! We appreciate you!

Manage water station at finish - Distribute water bottles to runners (1)

Please wear mask and gloves. (Masks will be available if you do not have one.)
Maintain social distancing will runners.
Provide 5K and 8 miler runners with bottled water.
Make sure you pick up all trash in the area. Once the course sweeper comes by, you can clean up the waterstop and set it off to the side of the trail.

Details

Please wear a mask during the event and maintain social distance from runners.
Course monitors are a very important part of the race. They ensure that all runners make the correct turns at critical intersections. The ideal course monitor will also be a cheerleader for runners as they are passing through their intersection.
Wear bright clothing during the event.
Some busier locations will also have a police officer to help control traffic.
Great option for a large organization! Any volunteer under the age of 18, must be accompanied by an adult.
