Details

Direct runners to ensure they stay on course. Offer lots of cheers and encouragement, announcing mileage if applicable. Feel free to bring pom poms and/or noise makers! Ensure safety; look out for injuries and contact authorities if necessary. Prevent vehicles from entering race course.

ADULTS ONLY for Parking Team. Direct cars into runner parking lot, keeping traffic flowing, filling lot in an orderly fashion. Be available to answer questions, without blocking traffic.

Manage the Coaches Parking Lot. Help coaches to their assigned spots. Direct families and runners their assigned areas.

Details

**NOTE - Registration Volunteers are required to attend a 30-minute training Friday night before the race (6-6:30 pm) OR Saturday race day at 6:15 am.**

Duties: Accept new registrations, receive money, and hand out race kits for both 5K and Fun Run from 6:30-8:40. Answer questions, help runners find teams in coaches' lot, stay positive and encouraging. After registration closes, volunteers will move to the 5K start line to help with wave start.

Display wave designations, hold ropes, and help runners find starting corral. Assist with crowd control at start line. Spread excitement and encouragement as runners begin the race!

ADULTS ONLY. Help to set up and break down the finish line. Move race chute fencing between races. Assist timing team with wave starts and at finish line with data input and course management. Be sure to bring your great attitude, smiles, and cheers!

Details

Set-up tables and sort medals for 5K runners and Fun Runners. Hand out medals throughout both races. Assist runners who are unstable or sick. Keep finishers moving through the chute to avoid congestion. Congratulate runners! Help clean-up after race.

Details

Set-up food area inside finisher chute. Organize food and dispose of boxes/cardboard to keep finish line area clean and free of obstacles. Keep non-runners away from food - food is only for 5K participants who are wearing a bib. Hand out fruit and snacks as runners come through finish line; keep runners moving to avoid congestion in the chute. Do not allow parents to enter Finish Chute - it is for runners only

Details

Set-up tables and water coolers at water stop. Fill cups half full with water and hand out to runners. Clean up cups and trash during and after event. Encourage and cheer runners!

Bicyclists

Details

Adults only (must be approved by GO FAR). Ride along side the runners to ensure safety on the course. Encourage runners. Be aware of injuries and move injured runner to the side immediately and call authorities.

Greet vendors and show them where to set up booth. Answer questions and provide support as necessary. Notify Sarah Beth of any vendors who have not checked-in by 7am. Thank vendors for their role in making the event a success.
