Volunteers are needed to help prep race kits for Club Coaches to pick-up.

DUTIES: count and collate t-shirts, swag bags, and race bibs. Coaches will arrive at a designated time slot between 3:30 and 5 pm. Volunteers, please arrive at 1 pm to begin collating before the Coaches arrive. Most volunteers will be able to leave by 4:30 pm.

Manage the Coaches Parking Lot. Help coaches to their assigned spots. Direct families and runners their assigned areas.
Report to Larry Hughes for instructions. Coaches only are allowed to park in the Coaches Lot. It is imperative that no other cars drive in the lot for the safety of the kids.

Details

Pick up your volunteer vest at the Volunteer tent in the vendor area. Report to finish line area immediately to assist with collating runner food. Then report to start line at 8:30 AM to help with the waves.
Wave Start Volunteers will hold a rope at the start of each wave to separate the kids in the waves. You will make sure they don't start running before they are supposed to.

Display wave designations, hold ropes, and help runners find starting corral. Assist with crowd control at start line.

Once you are done, you may go back over to the finish line to assist with handing out the bags of food to the runners after they finish.
Also assist with crowd control so that spectators do not go into the finish line shoot.

Details

Set-up food area inside finisher chute. Organize food and dispose of boxes/cardboard to keep finish line area clean and free of obstacles. Keep non-runners away from food - food is only for 5K participants who are wearing a bib.

WAVE START: When you are done with runner food, report to the finish line at 8:30 to assist with holding one of the ropes at a wave start. You are helping to keep the kids separate so they do not all start at once. Once complete, go back over to the finish line and help to give out runner food to finishers ONLY

Keep the finishers moving to avoid congestion in the chute. Do not allow parents to enter Finish Chute - it is for runners only!!Hand out fruit and snacks as runners come through finish line, keep runners moving to avoid congestion in the chute.

Please report directly to the water stop at the Macedonia Center at 7am and await your instructions.
Set-up tables and water coolers at water stop. Fill cups 1/2 full with water, and hand out to runners. Clean up cups and trash during and after event. Encourage and cheer runners!

Start Line/Finish Line set up and Clean Up

Details

Help to set up and break down the finish line. Move race chute fencing between races.
Please also assist with hanging the sponsor banners with zip ties on the finish line fencing.
When finished, see if they need help with runner food.
Then at 8:30 see if they need help with wave start
When finished, help with crowd control at finish line chute to prevent spectators and runners from entering. Direct participants to runner's lot.

Details

Set-up tables and sort medals for 5K runners and Fun Runners.
Once medals are set up, please go over and help with Runner Food.
Hand out medals throughout both races. Keep finishers moving through the chute to avoid congestion. Congratulate runners! Help clean-up after race.
